9 Months!

This month we have seen signs of Cole becoming a little boy. From little screaming fits to mimicking with us at the dinner table to playing on his own. It is amazing how fast the 9 months has went but THANK GOD, we have all summer together!

Celebrating his first Father's Day

Loves to climb under the table

9 Months Old
Day Cole was Born

9 Month Highlights
  • Cole is still wearing 6-9 month clothing. He weighs abouot 18 pounds and is starting to "thin out" from all his movement.
  • His favorite song is Itsy Bitsy Spider.
  • He crawls EVERYWHERE and is INTO EVERYTHING! He does a fast crawl when he is excited to get somewhere.
  • He pulls himself to a standing position all the time. He has takes steps in between two people on his own. He loves to "run" with the help of an adult friend!
  • He has learned to fall gracefully!
  • His favorite foods include blueberries, bananas, cheese, and he enjoyed some of my dumplings from my chicken dumpling soup.
  • His favorite snack is the graduates cheeto puffs....he loves them and will pick them off his tray when there is a combo of food.
  • He eats mostly table food for dinner. He has had many subs for lunch as well.
  • He sleeps really well. I think at 8 months we finally started sleeping through the night and it was quite welcomed!
  • He has started to fake cough for attention...this started from us fake coughing, sneezing and saying Bless you to get him to laugh.
  • He loves going on stroller rides and swinging at the park.
  • He is very content when we play outside.
  • LOVES dogs and animals. Yesterday we were at Mary's house and she has the perfect windown for him to stand at and look out. Her dog and two cats were playing and he just watched them the whole time. Then the cat sprinted across the yard and up a tree....he followed that cat with a shocked expression. The zoo is going to be fun...and I thought he was too young!
  • He loves being sprayed with water. Noah's Ark will be fun too!
  • He loves typing on the computer.
  • He sits on his knees to play and then bounces up and down. I think he might be trying to stand up when he does that.
  • He had his first black eye...as Grandma D says, "just wait til the stiches start coming...he is Kyle's son"

3 YEARS

Today Kyle and I celebrate our 3 year anniversary! This was a big year for us with joys and challenges. I am so thankful to have went through it all with Kyle.
Kyle,
Thank you for being an amazing husband and friend. You show me kindness and patience every day. Love you!

Cole in Action

Cole has been grunting (?) at us and we think it is because Gramma Kringel was coughing at him and he started to laugh. So, we continued this all weekend with sneezing and saying "bless you." The result has been whenever he sees Gramma, he starts this grunting...funny boy! :)

Cole loves Nala! We usually has a smile on his face when she is around. :)

Happy Summer!

8 Months

8 Month pictures because I can't get the post to move around the perfect way! :)

This has been an eventual month for Cole! He no longer is immbobile...at all! He is constantly moving and talking. Only 3 weeks until summer and I am beyond thrilled to be with him 24-7!
  • Cole is wearing 6-9 month clothing. It is quite big on him but the 6 month clothing was too winter themed so I have to break out the next batch. He has tons of shorts to wear so we NEED warm weather!
  • Cole is crawling. When he gets excited he does this fast crawl like he can't get to it fast enough. Really cute.
  • Cole is talking. Well, blabbling. We thought he said Na-La one morning and Da-Da once. Nothing permanent though just alot of noises.
  • Cole is sleeping consistently through the night. He had a rough stretch with getting a nasty cold that he had to take meds for and then teething stuff (no teeth yet). Since then he is now sleeping 8:15-5:15. AMEN! It feels much nicer.
  • Cole went to his first Brewers game and he did very well.
  • Cole pulls him up on everything...he is slowly starting to let go and stand for a second and then drops. It is so funny to watch him test the waters. I noticed that he started walking along the couch today. OMG!
  • Since he is crawling so well, I have noticed that he is much more content when playing.
  • This means we lowered the crib...he was pulling himself up and pulling at his laundry basket.
  • Another thing is he has gotten lots of bumps from falling all the time. Oops!
  • He eats ALOT! Every four hours, bottle, food, etc. He has gotten very good at opening his mouth to eat and feeding himself finger foods.
  • One of my favorite things that he does is explore his book baskets. It just reminds me of a little kid and I am so thankful that he is starting to look at them...now if only he will continue this throughout life. Dorky teacher thing!
  • Cole LOVES to be outside! He has spent lots of time outside with his sitters and with us on the weekend and after school. He enjoys watching Nala run around and playing with the grass. OOO..makes me so excited for summer.
  • We have stared playing high five which includes me saying high five as I use Cole's hand to high five me.
  • He has done some waving so we practice saying bye bye.
That is the 8 month update! We are so proud of our guy. He is such a wonderful joy to have around!

7 Months

It is time for the official 7 month post! This baby is just growing up too fast but he is adorable so every day is a joy! With the 7 month came some big events including my first spring break as a mom and let me tell you, I am thankful for being a teacher with a Spring Break! :)
  • Cole is breaking out of the 3-6 month clothes and fitting much better in the 6 month clothes. His short little legs won't work in anything bigger...he is challenged like his mommy in the pants department.
  • I would assume he is about 16-17 pounds.
  • He still is sleeping well, napping well, scheduled baby.
  • Everytime I put food to my mouth...his mouth opens. So, he has tried a plethora of real foods including chicken tortilla soup, cottage cheese, bananas, chicken, pickles, cookie, eggs, etc. I was thankful for my pediatrician telling me at the 6 month appointment that the allergy restrictions have become looser. So, we are trying everything but honey now!
  • We went for our first run with the jogging stroller. I ended up carrying for about 1/4 of the trip up and down the lake hills of Oconomowoc...ouch for me! But my view was pretty cute during the run.
  • He has pulled himself up into a standing position...strong boy!
  • SO close to crawling. He rocks and moves his legs but hasn't figured out the hands part.
  • We are beginning to have a bit of seperation anxiety. If I walk out of the room he screams. This has happened with Dawn as well. He just loves us so much!
  • When the kid is tired...put him to sleep! Oh my...he will just scream for no reason as he gets ready to fall asleep. Kind of funny...will not be so funny later in life.
  • He had his first surgery...poor baby!
  • Smiley happy boy!

  • Kyle is officially done with tax season...THANK GOD! So we are all getting reunited.

  • Three words to describe Cole (thanks for the idea Shannon) are ... Determined, Strong, Personality (big one)

This has been a fun month. Still so thankful for the gift of Cole. He is constantly making us smile and laugh.
Pictures of the baby...a bit unorganized but still cute! :)

    Before Surgery
    After Surgery...so sad!
he thinks this is pretty fun!
yes...this is the same outfit as the one during the 6 month pictures...oops!
this is more fun than taking the pictures
my view while running.
in his crib cage at the hospital...haha...he was never really in it, they carried him to and from the room
