As of 5:15pm today...Cole is crawling! Very exciting and I had to document it on the blog of his life! :)

Happy Easter
We had a wonderful time celebrating Easter with the Dieringer's this year! We also spent the week at my parents house for Spring Break...it was a relaxing time and we are rejuvenated from the long stretch of school and tax season. Enjoy the pictures!

7 Months
It is time for the official 7 month post! This baby is just growing up too fast but he is adorable so every day is a joy! With the 7 month came some big events including my first spring break as a mom and let me tell you, I am thankful for being a teacher with a Spring Break! :)
- Cole is breaking out of the 3-6 month clothes and fitting much better in the 6 month clothes. His short little legs won't work in anything bigger...he is challenged like his mommy in the pants department.
- I would assume he is about 16-17 pounds.
- He still is sleeping well, napping well, scheduled baby.
- Everytime I put food to my mouth...his mouth opens. So, he has tried a plethora of real foods including chicken tortilla soup, cottage cheese, bananas, chicken, pickles, cookie, eggs, etc. I was thankful for my pediatrician telling me at the 6 month appointment that the allergy restrictions have become looser. So, we are trying everything but honey now!
- We went for our first run with the jogging stroller. I ended up carrying for about 1/4 of the trip up and down the lake hills of Oconomowoc...ouch for me! But my view was pretty cute during the run.
- He has pulled himself up into a standing position...strong boy!
- SO close to crawling. He rocks and moves his legs but hasn't figured out the hands part.
- We are beginning to have a bit of seperation anxiety. If I walk out of the room he screams. This has happened with Dawn as well. He just loves us so much!
- When the kid is tired...put him to sleep! Oh my...he will just scream for no reason as he gets ready to fall asleep. Kind of funny...will not be so funny later in life.
- He had his first surgery...poor baby!
- Smiley happy boy!
- Kyle is officially done with tax season...THANK GOD! So we are all getting reunited.
- Three words to describe Cole (thanks for the idea Shannon) are ... Determined, Strong, Personality (big one)
This has been a fun month. Still so thankful for the gift of Cole. He is constantly making us smile and laugh.
Pictures of the baby...a bit unorganized but still cute! :)

A Weekend Full of Visiting
We had a very busy weekend visiting lots of new babies! It was fun to see Cole interact with a bunch of little ones just like himself...and some smaller! :) Cole (and I) are a bit tired after this busy weekend. We will begin the pictures on Sunday and work backwards to Saturday. Let me introduce you to Cole's friends...
Do we see a future here? :)
Nikki and I were very excited to take our twin baby pictures!
Quite amazing that we have entered this stage of our lives. PS: Doesn't Carrie look A-MAZING...she had twins 6 weeks ago!

Baby Cole...What are you wearing?
Kyle gets himself dressed every morning and looks great. When it comes to dressing baby he has quite the reputation of crazy ensembles. This morning was just like any, I was about to run to the store and asked him to get Cole dressed after his bottle. His comment was, "Cole...what am I going to put you in today?" with a little giggle. (Everyone think of Kyle's baby sing songy voice when saying this) Look at Cole's outfit for today...
Yes, it is all too big for our 6th percentile in height baby! :) Sad thing is my dad, brothers, and Kyle all dress this way during hunting season. HA!

6 Months
Cole Bradley Dieringer is 6 months old! WOW! This first 1/2 year of his life has flown by. He has turned our world upside down and we wouldn't have it any other way. It is amazing how when I am feeling crabby, I can instantly put aside those feelings to be joyful for him. If I was going to change the meaning of Cole's name from "cabbage farmer", it would totally be "joyful." Maybe I will just think that from now on! haha
as you might be able to tell...the six months pictures didnt really work this time
THE 6 MONTH UPDATE:
- He goes to the doctor on the 25th so we will have the official weigh-in that day. He is wearing 3-6 and 6 month clothing now. It was time for a change and he is looking rather studly.
- Food - Well he eats breakfast and dinner with rice cereal and veggies. I do believe his favorite is the squash but he eats them all very well. He has had applesauce 2 times and LOVES it! Still drinking formula, the most is 6 oz at a time. He started to grab for my water glass so I give him drinks of water and his little chin moves back and forth as he gulps...super cute! So I have attempted the sippy cup a few times with water. Still waiting to begin juice and to eat 3 meals a day.
- He continues to sleep well. This kid is on a 12 hour schedule. He wakes up around 7:15 on his own and falls asleep every night around 7:15. He gets a bottle at 8:00, is in his crib by 8:15 and sleeps til 5:15 and gets another bottle then. We have the occasional night when he wakes up.
- Teething has started. We had one cycle of the runny nose, crabbiness, and restlessness. We are just starting the second cycle and this one has included 5 poops in one day! Holy Cow!
- Play Play Play! He is so fun. Loves Nala and follows her like a hawk. The other day he cracked up laughing when Nala licked him. He continues to roll all over the floor. I do believe his favorite toy right now might just be my cell phone. He is constantly grabbing and reaching. One of his favorite games to play is turn off the light ceiling fan light with the cord. His eyes get really big when he pulls and it turns off. So funny! Peekaboo makes him crack up too. But you have to be totally hidden and then pop out. Carolyn and Erika were the first ones to get this to work and my dad did it today.
- He can sit up with a little support. He just doesn't realize that he needs to put his arm down to catch himself. He kind looks like he is surfing because he tries to balance.
- He wants to crawl and gets mad that he can't reach what he is trying to get. We are not there yet though since he can't even get on all fours to move.
- He spits. Not the most fun when still in work clothes and feeding baby but totally cute! Makes me laugh every time when I am feeling half-asleep.
- We just might have heard a "Da" the other day. haha I do a lot of "Ma ma ma ma ma... Da da da da da.... Na la Na la Na la." He laughs when I do it.
play and roll, play and roll...
this would be his favorite finger to suck on. :)
sweetness!
the cell phone...sad that he is consumed with technology already!
If Cole is still awake when Kyle gets home, he instantly wants to go to him. It is pretty cute. He always greets Kyle with a big smile.
Spring break is so close and summer is just around the corner. I am so excited for both to spend time with Cole and let him experience the outdoors. I just ordered his swim suit and floppy hat for all of our swimming. We have our up north family vacation planned and looking to add more fun plans! :) I am really excited to go to Noah's Ark since Cole loves the water so much. We love our little Cole babe so much! Thank you God for such a gift!
