17 Weeks

Jordan's girlfriend took this picture this weekend and posted it on facebook. I figured since it was already out there for the whole world to see I would put it on my blog. I much rather have myself clothed in these pictures. Here we are...17 weeks!

15 3/7th Baby Picture

We had a baby appointment this morning. Our doctor couldn't find the heartbeat right away so we got to have an ultrasound! Here is Little D! He/she was sucking her/his thumb! It was just darling.

Baby Bump - 14 Weeks

It has begun! The pants are being held together by a pony tail holder, the shirts show off a little too much belly and love handles, and when I sleep on my side, the belly touches my knees! Right now it feels like I am just getting chubby. The problem is I no longer can suck in my chubby. I didn't realize that you are unable to suck it in when pregnant. So, I have embraced letting the belly protrude! It is really quite fun...I have always wanted to know how this feels and I am finally experiencing it. I have had the depressing moments of staring at my closet for a hour before deciding what will fit and realizing my butt is going to grow too BUT what a blessing! My only question now is...should I really be showing at 14 weeks or am I having triplets? Wouldn't that throw life for a loop?!?!
Kyle is done with tax season so we are now getting reacquainted! haha As funny as it sounds...it really is true! It has just been nice to do normal things together the past few days. I am really looking forward to eating dinner with him every night this week. I now feel like we can really start thinking about the baby, Little D, now that we actually see each other. Do you like the baby's nickname, Little D? Nikki thought of it! She is brilliant! She also gave me the wonderful idea, from her sister-in-law, for how to keep the baby's heartbeat as a momento. We recorded it on a Build-a-Bear recorder and placed it in a bear. It sounds so nice and we get to hear it whenever we want. I am glad the baby is so healthy. Do you notice how I started by talking about Kyle and moved back to baby...it really takes over your life! :)
Have a great week!

HI!

I suppose that I should update everyone on our life! Kyle is still in the midst of tax season. We are greatly looking forward to it being over. That way we can start planning and talking again. :) My mom said that she doesn't remember that last time that she saw Kyle...I said, "me either!"
School is going good. We have 3 days of school this week and then spring break. WOO HOO! After spring break we only have 8 weeks left until the school year is over. I can't believe my first year of teaching is almost over. Grad school is going well! We have been at it for about 6 weeks and I have learned a ton already! Keeping up with both schools hasn't been too difficult. It is just one of those things were you have another thing on your mind all the time.
We have decided to put a hold on the house hunting. It felt like God was telling us to slow down a bit. We are considering renting a town house or condo for a year or two instead. So Nala has a yard to run in and we will have more room with the growing family! ;)
We have a baby appointment on Friday. I am hoping to hear the heartbeat this time. We saw the heartbeat last time. Hopefully I will be successful in executing a plan that will allow everyone to hear the heartbeat!
Have a great week!

Yee-Haw!

We surprised my dad for his birthday on Friday. He thought the boys had a recruiting weekend and we couldn't come until Saturday. Little did he know that we had a big plan going on facebook...he really should get connected! We all arrived at 5:45 and my parents and Ashley walked in about 10 minutes later. I think my dad was touched that we all came home for his birthday! It is always nice to do something for someone who has blessed us so much...he is a great dad! The best part was when he got on the saddle and had to "YEE-HAW!" He was so embarrassed and it was super funny. It is always fun to spend time with the whole family!!
